Sending forms straight to your GetResponse app can be a game-changer, whether you’re aiming to increase your email list, collect feedback from your audience, or streamline event registrations.
In this tutorial, I’ll show you how you can easily set this up using Breakdance.
Ready to make your workflow smoother? Let’s dive in!
Create a Form in Breakdance
Let’s add a new page on WordPress.
On your Breakdance editor, create a new section and add the ‘Form Builder’ element. Adjust the layout and style to your liking.
Once you’re done, click save. Come back to it later once you've set up your GetResponse API.
Setup GetResponse List and API
1) Create a New GetResponse List
A GetResponse list is where your new contacts are added every time a form is submitted. So, let’s create one.
On your dashboard, navigate to Contacts > Lists. Tap ‘Create list’ as shown.
Enter the name of your new list and click ‘Create.’
2) Generate GetResponse API Key
On your dashboard, navigate to Tools > Integrations and API. Under the API tab, tap ‘Generate API key.’
Assign a name to your API key. Then, click ‘Generate.’
Under the API tab, you should see your newly generated API key. Copy this to your clipboard.
Setup GetResponse WordPress Integration
1) Save GetResponse API Key on WordPress
Back to your WordPress dashboard, navigate to Breakdance > Settings > API Keys. Tap the ‘GetResponse API Key’ and paste your API code here.
Then, save the changes.
2) Add GetResponse on Form Actions
Back to your Breakdance editor, click the Form Builder element. Then, select the ‘Actions’ dropdown menu and locate ‘‘Actions After Submission.’ Choose ‘GetResponse’ from the dropdown menu.
Once you’ve done this, a ‘GetResponse’ option will emerge below the ‘Actions After Submission’ menu. Click its edit icon to set up the integration.
3) Map Form Fields
Add a list where you want to send user info. Then, create two fields for the name and email.
Note: Make sure that you correctly map your fields. Check that the fields are arranged in the same order.
Test Your Breakdance Form
1) Enter User Date on Breakdance Form
Open your live form page on the browser. Enter a name and email address. Then, click submit.
2) Verify Result in GetResponse
Open your GetResponse dashboard. Click ‘Contacts.’. At the bottom of the page, you should see the list of users that submitted a form. That's it!
