Casewell

Casewell is bankruptcy intake software for consumer bankruptcy firms that file in Best Case. A firm uploads a completed intake packet, handwritten or typed, or dictates or pastes notes from the client interview, and Casewell turns it into a native Best Case .BCB file with Schedules A/B, D, E/F, G, I and J already filled in. Staff open it in Best Case with File, then Restore Client from Disk. It works in front of Best Case rather than replacing it: no plugin, no migration and no change to how the firm files.

What it does

Each uploaded page is read five times and the reads are compared field by field. Fields where the reads disagree are shown to staff beside the cropped handwriting from the original page, mapping into Best Case fields follows fixed rules, and every exported file is read back and checked against the confirmed values before it is released. Casewell can also record an intake meeting or take an uploaded recording, handle Spanish and mixed-language intake, and convert a printed individual Chapter 7 petition from another program into a Best Case Desktop file. It does not file with the court, run the means test, produce Schedule C or build the creditor matrix; Schedule C, Schedule H and joint filings, means test inputs and the full Statement of Financial Affairs are listed as coming soon.

Casewell is free during its beta, with no card and no contract, and each firm can prepare up to 10 intake packets a day. Paid pricing has not been published. Client-identifying data is encrypted at rest and uploaded scans, recordings and exports are deleted after seven days. Casewell says plainly that it has no SOC 2 report yet and no completed third-party penetration test.

Use it to

  • Check only the fields the software is unsure about, with the original handwriting shown beside each one
  • Start a case from dictated or pasted interview notes, or from a recorded intake meeting
  • Bring Spanish or mixed-language intake into the English fields a petition needs
  • Move a printed individual Chapter 7 petition from another program into Best Case Desktop

Questions

What is Casewell?
Casewell is bankruptcy intake software that reads a completed intake packet, or interview notes, and exports a Best Case .BCB file with the schedules filled in, so staff check fields instead of retyping them.
Does Casewell replace Best Case?
No. Casewell runs before Best Case. The firm imports the file and keeps preparing, reviewing and filing petitions in Best Case.
How much does Casewell cost?
It is free during the beta, with no card or contract and up to 10 intake packets per firm per day. Paid pricing has not been published.
Can Casewell read handwritten and cursive intake forms?

What does the Best Case export include?
Schedules A/B, D, E/F, G, I and J, with every creditor's address and account detail. Schedule C, Schedule H, means test inputs and the full Statement of Financial Affairs are listed as coming soon.
