Send Breakdance Builder Forms to Drip

Boost your email campaigns by sending Breakdance forms straight to your Drip app. I’ll show you how this can be easily done in this guide!

Drip stands out as a powerful email marketing tool tailored for personalization. Integrate it with Breakdance to boost your marketing strategies with minimal efforts. 

Sending Breakdance forms to Drip can have a lot of benefits. With an updated contact list, you can:

  • effortlessly create win-back campaigns
  • dispatch timely sales drip campaigns
  • counteract cart abandonment by sending users that they forgot to check out 

In this article, I'll guide you on leveraging both platforms to elevate your email strategies.

Create a Form in Breakdance

Open your WordPress dashboard and create a new page. Click ‘Edit in Breakdance.’

Create a new section and add a ‘Form Builder.’ Style the form to your liking such as adjusting the layout, and background color. 

Add all the fields you want to include. In this example, we’ll add three fields for the first name, last name, and email address.

Once you’re done, save your page. Come back to it later after setting up your Drip API.

Copy Your Drip API Key

Let’s copy the API key to integrate Drip with Breakdance. 

On your Drip dashboard, click your account and navigate to ‘User Settings.’

Scroll down and copy your API key to your clipboard. You’ll need this later to authenticate your Drip account to WordPress.

Setup Breakdance Drip Integration

1) Authenticate Drip on Your WordPress Account

Open your WordPress dashboard. On the left-hand side, go to Breakdance > Settings > API Keys. 

Then, paste your API token on the Drip API Key field.

Save the changes.

2) Add Drip on Form Actions

Back to your Breakdance editor, select the ‘Actions’ dropdown menu. 

Tap ‘Actions After Submission.’ You should see a list of apps that you can integrate with Breakdance. Go ahead and choose Drip.’

Once you’ve done this, a ‘Drip’ option will display just below the ‘Actions After Submission’ menu. Click the edit icon next to it to set up the integration.

3) Add Account and Map Form Fields

You should see a pop-up window as shown below. Choose an account and map the form fields correctly. Make sure that the fields are placed in the same order with your Breakdance form.

Once you’re done, close the window and click ‘Save.’

Test Your Breakdance Form

1) Enter User Data on Breakdance Form

Open your live page on the browser. Enter a first name, last name, and email address. Then, click submit.

2) Verify Results in Drip

Once you see a success message, verify the result by opening your Drip dashboard.

On the left-hand side of the page, go to People > Active. At the bottom of the page, you should see the list of users that submitted a form.

Note that what we did here is a very simple use case where we use Drip to build a subscribers list. Feel free to customize this to enhance your email campaigns.
