Teleprompto is a teleprompter for iPhone, iPad and Mac that can follow the rhythm and pauses of your voice, entirely on your device.
Getting started
- Open Teleprompto. The library starts with a sample script, "Welcome to Teleprompto."
- Create a script with +, paste one in, or import a text, Markdown, RTF, Word or PDF file or a public Google Docs link. You can also share text to Teleprompto from another app.
- Tap Start. Tap the text to show the controls, and use the mode button at the bottom left to choose Auto, Timed, Voice pace or Voice follow.
- Tap the record button to record a take with the camera. Takes are saved with their script.
Common questions
- How does voice follow work? It listens to the rhythm and pauses of your voice and keeps the script moving with you, on your device. Speak at a natural, steady pace; if it drifts, tap the line you are reading to re-sync. For the most predictable result in a noisy room, use Voice pace (scrolls while you talk, stops when you stop) or Auto.
- What is free? Everything except unlimited recording and voice scrolling: scripts, editor, imports, auto and timed scrolling, mirroring, display options, remotes, script tools and translation. Recording and voice scrolling are free for 60 minutes a month, and the minutes reset at the start of each month. A take in progress is never cut off.
- What does Pro add? Unlimited recording and voice scrolling, 4K recording, and on iPhone and iPad the floating prompter over other apps and a clean external display output. Pro is available monthly, yearly (with a 1-week free trial) or as a one-time Lifetime purchase, and can be shared with your family through Family Sharing.
- I bought Pro but don't see it. Open Settings in Teleprompto and tap Restore Purchases (Mac: Settings › Account). Use the same Apple Account you bought it with.
- How do I cancel a subscription? In the Settings app, tap your name › Subscriptions › Teleprompto. On a Mac: App Store › your name › Account Settings › Subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
- My scripts aren't syncing. Make sure you are signed in to the same iCloud account on each device and that iCloud is on for Teleprompto. Settings › iCloud Sync in the app shows the current status.
- How do I use a second iPhone or iPad as a remote? On the device showing the prompter, open a script and turn on Display › Phone or iPad Remote. On the other device, open Settings › Use as a Remote and enter the pairing code. Both devices need Wi-Fi turned on and Local Network allowed.
- Can I use a clicker or foot pedal? Yes. Bluetooth keyboards, presentation clickers, foot pedals and game controllers work; set the keys in Settings › Remote Control.
