Claude-2 Now Available on Perplexity Pro

Perplexity has recently launched Claude-2 in Perplexity Pro to improve their AI research tool and provide maximum utility and safety in their services.

Now, Pro subscribers can now update their settings and activate Claude-2 to access its features, including:

• Long context window which allows larger files and longer responses.
• Improved writing skills with more natural and readable texts.
• Enhanced human-like responses using Copilot and Quick Search.

In a recent tweet, Perplexity officially introduced the integration of Claude-2 for their Pro users.

The preview video demonstrated how users can access Claude-2’s features in Perplexity.

It is promising to see its performance given that it adds a unique advantage to the platform which allows users to input 100K tokens in the context window (corresponding to 75,000 words) and upload documents up to 25 MB.

Claude-2 is an improved AI model by AnthropicAI that has the ability to clearly explain context and process longer content with its increased length of input and output.  

Consequently, the recently added model has an improved safety feature which prevents the model from producing and prompting offensive outputs. Anthropic utilizes an internal red-teaming evaluation to prevent these harmful outputs.

Anthropic suggests users to “think of Claude as a friendly, enthusiastic colleague or personal assistant who can be instructed in a natural language to help them with many tasks.”

In another tweet, a user expressed his thoughts after trying out the Claude-2 setting in Perplexity.

Definitely, this new addition to Perplexity’s platform marks their consistent progress towards improving user experience by gradually enhancing their features.
