Wordfence has recently launched a webhook integration for vulnerabilities in Wordfence intelligence to safeguard the WordPress ecosystem.
Users will be added into the Wordfence Intelligence WordPress Vulnerability database, and they will also be provided with updates on the latest vulnerabilities detected in WordPress.
In a recent Tweet, Wordfence has officially introduced the integration emphasizing its ability to notify users in real-time.
Consequently, the webhook feature will immediately update users and send information to the URL of their choice whenever there are new vulnerabilities added or deleted in their database.
Moreover, it can also send notifications directly to a Slack or Discord channel based on the pre-configured webhooks.
According to Wordfence, this will enable more site owners, developers, enterprises and security researchers to effectively implement vulnerability notifications and monitoring.
“Our free database is one of the most complete WordPress vulnerability databases on the market with CVSS scores, detailed descriptions, succinct titles, references to affected code/changesets, and more, providing our users with the most accurate and high-quality information available to secure their sites or clients,” Wordfence said in a release.
To start setting up a webhook integration, users must create an account, access account integrations, then click ‘Add Webhook’ to configure.
Users are given the option to view, test and edit the logs for each configured webhook.
Wordfence recommends using the Slack and Discord integration if users would only like to stay updated on the latest vulnerabilities. The notifications will be directly sent to the supplied webhook channel integration.
In previous reports, Wordfence has recently launched a high-performing malware scanner in efforts to further provide users with more protective tools.
Now, users can gain a protective advantage by accessing the latest webhook integration – made available for free.
This webhook will surely be helpful to users as it will be an added layer of security and safety against vulnerabilities.
