Best AI Automation Agencies in 2026

An "AI automation agency" can mean two very different businesses. One wires your existing apps together with Zapier, Make or n8n and drops a language model into the middle. The other writes software that reads your documents and emails, updates your systems, and asks a person when it isn't sure. Both are useful. They cost differently, and they leave you owning different things.

We compared seven agencies from their own sites, checked in October 2026: no-code specialists, custom-code shops and a couple of the YouTube-famous names. Our pick for most operations-heavy companies is Digital Mundo, because it builds the automation as software in your own repository, tested on your real work, with a person approving what matters.

Here's the TLDR (prices checked in October 2026):

  1. Digital Mundo (our pick): Best for document- and email-heavy operations that want a senior team to build supervised AI as code they own, tested on their real work first. Prices not published.
  2. XRAY Tech: Best for teams already on Airtable and Zapier who want published prices. $250/hour or a $15,000 design sprint.
  3. HatchWorks AI: Best for enterprises that want custom agentic automation with a nearshore team. Prices not published.
  4. flowmondo: Best for small service firms that want Zapier, Make or n8n work from a long-running partner. Prices not published.
  5. Bitovi: Best for companies standardizing on n8n with an engineering consultancy behind it. Prices not published.
  6. LeftClick: Best for B2B companies automating lead generation and sales. From $5,000; most projects $10,000 to $50,000.
  7. Morningside AI: Best for leadership teams that want an AI assessment and roadmap first. Prices not published.

1. Digital Mundo (our pick)

Digital Mundo is a US software design and development studio in Miami and New York. Its AI automation and agents service covers the jobs most operations teams actually want gone: reading forms, statements and invoices into your systems without retyping, sorting and answering routine emails, moving data between tools, and first drafts of reports and replies. Anything it's unsure about goes to a person, every step is logged, and the AI providers are set up not to train on your data.

The difference from a no-code agency is where the automation lives. Digital Mundo builds it as software, in your repository, and where a team has outgrown chained tools it rebuilds automations and Zapier zaps "inside the app, where they can be tested and logged", as its Airtable replacement page puts it. Before launch it tests on your real work and compares the answers with your team's.

Two published examples on Digital Mundo's work page: Casewell reads bankruptcy intake packets, handwritten or typed, into a Best Case file, and was live with a law firm 39 days after the first line of code (we cover it in our Casewell review). Ferrylend, a CRM for lending brokers, uses AI to summarize bank statements.

Pricing: not published. It works on an ongoing arrangement, a fixed price for a defined project, or a revenue or equity share with the right partner.

Limits: it's a senior team rather than a large agency, so a company that needs dozens of automation engineers at once should look elsewhere. Much of its client work is under NDA, so public case studies are few and we found no third-party reviews. It publishes no prices and no compliance certifications such as SOC 2, so ask if you need that paperwork. If all you want is three quick Zaps, a no-code specialist will be cheaper.

Pick it if: the work is reading documents or answering email at volume, it touches systems that matter (accounting, case files, a CRM), and you want the automation tested, supervised and owned by you.

2. XRAY Tech

XRAY Tech is a workflow automation and AI firm (footer: "Established 2020") that serves "small and enterprise teams alike". It shows certified partner badges for Airtable, Zapier, Claude and StackOne, and its case studies are built mostly on Airtable, Softr and Slack. The best known is Semrush: an Airtable system that collects feedback from Slack, Salesforce and Intercom and creates tickets, which "saved approximately 900 hours total per month". A partner portal for Feed My Starving Children cut requisition approval time by 90%.

Pricing: published. XRAY Hourly is a flat $250/hour, sold as 4 hours ($1,000), 10 hours ($2,500) or 20 hours ($5,000), pairing you with a low-code engineer. Full service starts with a $15,000 Workflow Solution Design Sprint. It says "You own all the accounts, code, and work."

Limits: you keep paying for the Airtable, Zapier and Softr subscriptions underneath. Hourly is "done with you", not hands-off. Its location isn't published, and several case studies are from 2021 and 2022.

Pick it if: your business already runs on Airtable and you want a known price per hour.

3. HatchWorks AI

HatchWorks AI is an enterprise AI engineering firm with US offices in Atlanta, Chicago and Dallas and nearshore offices in Costa Rica, Colombia and Peru. Its agentic automation work is custom code, not no-code: forward-deployed engineers or "Agentic AI Pods" that it says replace "a team of 8–12". It shows partner badges for OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Cloud and Databricks. Published work includes an AI agent inside Recruitics' job-ad platform and RAG-based fleet insights for Cox.

Pricing: not published.

Limits: sized for enterprises. The Recruitics case study has a CTO quote but no published metrics.

Pick it if: you're a large company that wants a pod of engineers building agents across departments, with US and Latin American time zones.

4. flowmondo

flowmondo is a UK automation consultancy, a "Platinum Zapier partner based in London" per its Zapier page, that builds on Zapier, Make, n8n, Airtable, Xano and Fillout. It aims at technical service firms and claims "17 AI and automation experts", "2,900+ solutions delivered" and "13 years trading". Its rank badges (Zapier #1, Airtable #1, Make #3) are its own claims, and it doesn't say what they're based on. Its work page lists anonymized builds, such as Zapier, Xero and GoCardless billing that removes "roughly 6 to 8 hours" of manual work a month.

Pricing: not published; it starts with a free discovery call.

Limits: UK-based, so US buyers should check time-zone cover and billing currency. Named case studies are marked "Coming Soon", and the published work is mostly small integrations rather than AI agents.

Pick it if: you're a small firm that wants many tidy no-code integrations from a team that has done thousands.

5. Bitovi

Bitovi is a software consultancy that has been "building reliable, high-performance software for over 15 years" and runs an n8n automation practice: strategy, implementation, optimization, team training and AI agent integration, with deployments through GitHub Actions. n8n's own expert directory lists it at the Premium tier. Its client list includes Yum! Brands, Levi's and Walmart.

Pricing: not published. A free 30-minute discovery call ends with "an itemized report".

Limits: n8n only on the automation side, and the published case studies are general software work, not n8n projects.

Pick it if: you want n8n (often self-hosted) with real software engineers behind it.

6. LeftClick

LeftClick is a B2B "AI growth partner" run by Nick Saraev, building lead generation, outbound, CRM automation and custom agents. Its stack isn't named on the pages we read. The headline case study, 1SecondCopy, is the founder's own company per his bio, so look at outside clients instead: Dental Media Corp grew to "$2M/yr" and "shortened the sales cycle by 60%".

Pricing: published on its pricing page: "Engagements typically start at $5,000" and "most projects range from $10,000 to $50,000", fixed price, "No hourly billing", with an optional monthly retainer at an unpublished price.

Limits: it runs a large creator and education business alongside the agency (YouTube, courses, a paid Skool community). No location is published. Its focus is sales, not back-office operations.

Pick it if: pipeline is the problem and you want a fixed price up front.

7. Morningside AI

Morningside AI was started in late 2022 by Josh Brown and Liam Ottley and runs three phases: Identify (workshops, interviews, ROI modeling), Develop (architecture through production) and Adopt (rollout and training). It calls itself "workflow specialists first, AI specialists second" and "tool-agnostic". Its flagship case study, Asmuss Group, a New Zealand industrial distributor, was a nine-week assessment that picked six AI opportunities out of 19 and projects "1,600+ hours per month" redirected.

Pricing: not published.

Limits: like LeftClick, it sits alongside a big education business ("90k in our online community"). The flagship result is a roadmap with projected savings, not a measured build. No location or stack is published, and its visible clients lean Australian and New Zealand.

Pick it if: your leadership team needs alignment and a prioritized list before anyone builds.

Worth knowing: partner directories

If you've decided on a platform, its own directory is the fastest shortlist. Zapier's Solution Partner directory showed 577 results when we loaded it, filterable by budget, minimum spend and region. n8n's expert directory showed 48, in Enterprise, Premium and Select tiers. Tiers reflect the vendor's partner program, not an independent audit, and every agency listed builds on that one platform. New to Zapier? How to choose

  • Start with one task. Pick something slow, repetitive and with a clear right answer, like keying invoices or triaging a shared inbox. A good agency will ask about your week before it names a tool.
  • Decide platform or code. No-code builds are fast and cheap to start, but you pay the platform's subscriptions and runs every month, and debugging a chain of zaps gets hard. Custom code costs more up front, and you own it outright.
  • Ask how accuracy is checked. Who reviews what the AI does, what happens when it's unsure, and is there a log of every action?
  • Check whose accounts it runs in. Platform accounts, API keys and code should be in your company's name, not the agency's.
  • Size the firm to the job. HatchWorks and Bitovi suit enterprise programs; flowmondo and XRAY Tech suit platform work; for bigger custom builds, see our AI development companies roundup and our custom software development list. Law firms should also read our guide to AI for law firms.

FAQ

What does an AI automation agency do?

It finds repetitive work in your business and builds systems to do it: moving data between apps, reading documents, sorting and drafting emails, qualifying leads, producing reports. Some build on platforms like Zapier, Make or n8n; others write custom software.

How much does an AI automation agency cost?

Among published prices: XRAY Tech charges $250/hour or $15,000 for a design sprint, and LeftClick starts at $5,000 with most projects between $10,000 and $50,000. Most others quote after a call. Add the monthly cost of the platforms and AI models the automation runs on.

Zapier, Make, n8n or custom code?

Zapier and Make are quickest for connecting common apps. n8n suits teams that want to self-host or need more control. Custom code fits when the automation is core to how you operate, needs proper testing and permissions, or would rack up a large per-task bill.

Is it safe to let AI update our systems?

It can be if the automation only does what it was built to do, a person approves anything that matters, and every step is logged. Ask each agency whether the model provider trains on your data and who can see the logs.

How do I spot a weak automation agency?

Case studies that are the founder's own company, results that are projections rather than measurements, no named stack, and accounts set up in the agency's name. None of these is disqualifying alone, but ask about each.

Bring each agency the same real task and a week of examples, and pick the one that tells you what it would leave out.
