Slack has recently launched their upcoming generative AI capabilities with 3 major features to streamline efficiency, boost productivity and enhance the overall user experience.
Slack AI will help users easily generate key highlights, catch up on long threads, and get answers for quick understanding.
Consequently, the messaging platform for business aims to leverage their native AI capabilities to further accelerate productivity in “one intelligent productivity platform.”

In a recent tweet, Lidiane Jones, CEO of Slack has officially introduced Slack AI along with other improvements.
According Slack, users can “work smarter with Slack AI” and advance their full potential with these new AI capabilities:
- Channel recaps – instantly generate key highlights and extract key themes from any channel.
- Thread summaries – easily summarize long threads to catch up on any conversation.
- Search answers – ask a question and quickly get a clear and concise answer based on relevant Slack messages.
Furthermore, Slack emphasized that their built-in security system ensures all user data will be properly secured and would not be used for third-party model training.
Now, users can sign up and be waitlisted on Slack AI pilot, to be the first users to test and try its new AI features.
In previous reports, Slack has recently redesigned their user interface to provide better focus, organization and functionality to its users.
