WhatsApp has been working on three new text formatting tools to improve messaging capabilities and enhance user experience.
The upcoming text formatting tools include syntax for blocking code snippets, quoting specific texts and creating a text list.
In a recent tweet from WABetaInfo, they posted a preview photo of the soon-to-be released tools for WhatsApp messaging.
Based on the preview, users will be able to put text on the quote block and list items below.
In a recent release, WhatsApp aims to enhance user experience by allowing them to style their messages and improve the communication experience overall.
Furthermore here are the functions of the new text formatting tools:
- Code Block - designed to make sharing and reading the line of code readable and convenient for users.
- Quote Block - allow users to quote a specific text and reply to it directly. They can also refer back to specific responses and messages in the chat.
- Item Listing - allows users to list items in the chat.
Reportedly, WhatsApp has previously launched their initial text formatting tools such as italics, bold, and strikethrough. Now, they are planning to introduce additional tools to improve how messaging would look in the future.
“New text formatting tools are in development and they will be released in a future update of WhatsApp Desktop beta,” said in a release.
In recent reports, WhatsApp has been working on a feature generating AI stickers allowing users to create and share personalized stickers in their conversations.
