X is currently working on a new ID verification feature following its recent rebranding – and the changes are coming by rather quickly.

A preview of the new feature was tweeted by app researcher, Nima Owji, showing a photo focusing on the upcoming verification feature.

In the photo, a “Get Verified” button is highlighted along with verification details proving that the user is officially verified on the platform.

Considering that X has been actively implementing changes, the platform continues to kickstart changes aligning to Elon Musk’s vision of making the application into an “everything app”.

Even the installation and removal of its infamously flashing ‘X’ signage on top of Twitter headquarters sparked a controversy.

According to Nima Owji, X, formerly known as Twitter, was previously reported to be working on this update months ago but it seems that they [X] have resumed working on the feature again.

So far, here’s a few of X’s recent changes;

  • Twitter changed into X
  • Blue bird logo replaced with X logo
  • Tweet read limit
  • Direct message limit
  • Application Icon also changed into X
  • Default dark mode theme

We have yet to see more changes in the coming weeks – definitely an exciting transition.
