Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account?
No. Parky has no separate account or sign-in. Private sync uses the Apple Account already configured for iCloud on your device.
Where is my passport data stored?
Visits, ratings, notes, saved parks, and preferences are stored locally so they remain available offline. When iCloud is available for Parky, visits and saved parks sync through your private iCloud database to your other devices. Your measurement-units and description-translation preferences also follow your iCloud account; your home-country selection remains specific to each device. Use Export backup in Settings to keep a separate portable copy.
What happens if I delete Parky?
Deleting the App removes its local data from that iPhone. Synced passport data may remain in iCloud and on your other devices. Export a backup first if you want a portable copy outside iCloud.
Why is a park photo or map unavailable?
The bundled park catalog remains available offline. Parky also caches available photos for parks you save or visit. Apple Maps and photos that have not been cached still require a connection and depend on their providers.
How are park descriptions translated?
Human-written descriptions and their source details are bundled for offline reading. Where supported, Parky can use Apple's on-device Translation framework. iOS may first ask to download the required language model. The original text remains available.
Are park hours, fees, closures, and reservations always current?
No. Parky is not an authoritative operational feed. Confirm current conditions and requirements with the responsible park authority before making travel decisions.
How do I delete a visit?
Open the park, select the visit under Your visits, and use the delete action. Remove a saved park by toggling its saved control.
What devices are supported?
Parky is designed for iPhone and requires iOS 18 or later.
