Ferrylend vs HubSpot for MCA Brokers

A lot of MCA and business loan broker shops start on HubSpot. It's free for two users, everyone has heard of it, and it handles contacts and a deal pipeline well. The question comes later: once you're matching deals to lenders, tracking offers and chasing commissions, should you keep building that in HubSpot or move to a CRM made for lending?

This piece compares HubSpot Sales Hub with Ferrylend, a CRM built for MCA brokers and ISOs, for an owner deciding which one to run the shop on. For most broker shops our pick is Ferrylend, because lender matching, submissions, offers and commissions work on day one instead of being something you build in HubSpot.

Here's the TLDR (prices checked October 24, 2026):

  1. Ferrylend (our pick) - Best for: MCA and multi-product broker shops that want lender matching, submissions, offer math, commissions and renewals working on day one. $69 or $99 per user per month. It's newer, with no independent reviews and no dialer or SMS yet.
  2. HubSpot Sales Hub - Best for: shops already using HubSpot for marketing, one or two person shops that need a free pipeline, and teams willing to build MCA fields and automations themselves. Free to $150 per seat per month, with a required $1,500 onboarding fee on Professional.

The verdict

For most broker shops, our pick is Ferrylend. If the work that eats your week is lender fit, submissions, offers and commissions, Ferrylend ships those features. HubSpot has nothing for them out of the box; you'd build stages, custom fields and workflows yourself or pay a consultant. For a small team, Ferrylend is priced in the same range as HubSpot Professional without the onboarding fee (while the setup waiver lasts).

Pick HubSpot instead if your marketing already runs on it, you need a mature mobile app and a large app marketplace, or you're a one or two person shop that only needs a free contact list and pipeline. It's also a mature product, while Ferrylend is newer and has no independent reviews yet.

Pros and cons

Ferrylend

Pros

  • Lender matching, multi-lender submissions, offer math, commissions and renewals are built in.
  • Published per-user pricing ($69 Core, $99 Pro), month to month, no seat minimum.
  • Handles business loans, SBA, equipment, factoring and lines of credit in the same pipeline.
  • Data import is included in setup, and the $999 setup fee is waived for workspaces created through December 31, 2026.

Cons

  • Newer product: we found no independent reviews on G2, Capterra or Trustpilot yet.
  • Dialer, SMS, bank connect and lender API connectors are coming soon, not live.
  • No native mobile app, no SOC 2 report, and no public API or Zapier yet.
  • Thin on the funder side: no merchant ACH, servicing or syndication ledger.

HubSpot Sales Hub

Pros

  • Free for up to two users, and Starter is the cheapest paid option here.
  • Sequences, forms, live chat, meetings and forecasting, by tier.
  • A mobile app and a large app marketplace.
  • A mature product that many hires will already know.

Cons

  • Nothing specific to MCA: lender matching, submissions, offer math and paid-in renewals are yours to build.
  • Professional requires a $1,500 onboarding fee, and its monthly option still says "Commit annually".
  • AI features run on HubSpot Credits sold on top of each tier.

What a five-rep shop pays in year one

All of this is our arithmetic from list prices on each vendor's pricing page, not a quote.

Option (5 users)MonthlyYear one
Ferrylend Core, annual$295$3,540
Ferrylend Pro, annual$420$5,040
Ferrylend Pro, monthly$495$5,940
HubSpot FreeNot possible (2 users max)-
HubSpot Starter, annual, at the displayed $7/seat$35$420
HubSpot Starter at the $20/seat list price$100$1,200
HubSpot Professional, annual$450$6,900 (incl. $1,500 onboarding)

Ferrylend's figures assume the workspace is created by December 31, 2026, when the $999 setup fee is waived; add $999 after that. HubSpot's pricing page doesn't say how long the $7 Starter price lasts, and HubSpot Credits for AI features are sold on top of what each tier includes. Ferrylend's add-ons (e-sign on Core at $39/mo, AI statement reading at $1.50 per statement, and others) are listed on Ferrylend's per-user price list.

HubSpot Starter is the cheapest paid option by a wide margin. The catch is the building: every MCA stage, field and report is yours to set up and maintain. For more numbers across the market, see our MCA CRM pricing breakdown.

What you'd have to build in HubSpot

HubSpot's pricing page doesn't mention MCA, and nothing in Sales Hub is specific to it. To run an MCA shop on it you'd typically need:

  • A deal pipeline with stages for docs in, submitted, offers, funded and renewal.
  • Custom properties for monthly revenue, ADB, NSFs, positions, credit and industry.
  • A way to record which lenders each deal went to and each lender's answer, usually extra custom properties or a lot of notes.
  • Offer and commission math, done outside HubSpot or in calculated properties.
  • Renewal reminders based on how much the merchant has paid back.

Check which of these your HubSpot tier supports before you plan around Starter; if you need Professional, the $1,500 onboarding fee comes with it. It's all doable, and a shop with a HubSpot-savvy ops person can end up with exactly the workflow it wants. But it's work you own.

What Ferrylend includes for broker shops

Ferrylend's page for ISO and MCA broker shops describes the same list as built-in features. Lead import with saved presets per lead vendor. A merchant application link with optional statement upload and e-signature. A bank statement grid with true revenue and holdback. Lender matching on 27 metrics with a reason for every result. Submissions by email or portal assist, with every page stamped. Offer comparison with your commission. Commissions tracked expected versus received, with rep splits and clawbacks. And a renewals list driven by paid-in percentage.

It also handles business loans, SBA, equipment, factoring and lines of credit in the same pipeline, which matters if you place more than MCA. Our business loan broker CRM guide covers that angle.

Where HubSpot is clearly better

  • Marketing and outbound. Sequences, forms, live chat, meetings and forecasting by tier. Ferrylend has an email campaigns add-on and nothing like HubSpot's marketing tools. If you run outbound, pair either one with a dedicated tool from our cold email tools list.
  • Mobile. HubSpot has a mobile app. Ferrylend works in a phone browser but has no iPhone or Android app.
  • Ecosystem. HubSpot has a large app marketplace; Ferrylend lists 12 integrations working today, and Ferrylend's API, webhooks and Zapier are still coming soon.
  • Track record. Ferrylend is newer, and we found no G2, Capterra or Trustpilot reviews as of October 2026. It also has no dialer, SMS or SOC 2 yet. Our Ferrylend review lists everything that's still on its roadmap.

How to decide

  • If you have three or more reps and nobody wants to be the CRM admin, a lending CRM saves the build, and Ferrylend is the one we'd start with. Our MCA CRM rankings cover the others, and if you're weighing a Salesforce-based option, see Ferrylend vs Cloudsquare.
  • If HubSpot already runs your marketing and someone on the team enjoys building in it, stay and build the MCA layer.
  • If you're two people and cash is tight, HubSpot Free is a reasonable start; plan to move when lender tracking outgrows notes.

Ferrylend also publishes its own HubSpot comparison; read it knowing the vendor wrote it.

FAQ

Is HubSpot good for MCA brokers?

It's a good general CRM, but it has no MCA features: no lender matching, submissions tracking, offer math or paid-in renewals. You can build them with custom fields and workflows; if that pushes you to Professional, it adds a $1,500 onboarding fee.

How much does HubSpot cost for a loan broker team?

Free covers two users. Starter shows $7 per seat per month on annual billing (list $20), Professional $90 per seat plus $1,500 onboarding, and Enterprise $150 per seat plus $3,500 onboarding, as of October 24, 2026.

Can I move from HubSpot to Ferrylend?

Ferrylend says it imports your data for you as part of setup and onboarding, which is waived for workspaces created through December 31, 2026. It also imports CSV and Excel files with column mapping.

Does Ferrylend have a free plan like HubSpot?

No. There's no free plan or trial. You can try a sample-data demo (no signup; it asks for a work email) or book a 30-minute call, and plans are month to month.

Short version: if you want the lending parts already built, Ferrylend, which is our pick for most broker shops; if you want a general CRM and will build the lending parts yourself, HubSpot.

Disclosure: Ferrylend is made by Digital Mundo, a separate company with the same owner as Gold Penguin. We rank it first, and we've kept its drawbacks in plain view.
